Thank you for considering a commissioned painting. I create colorful, painterly artwork that captures the spirit and presence of your subject — not photo realism, but a vibrant, expressive interpretation.

How the Commission Process Works (Overview)
- Choose your canvas size (price list below)
- Reserve your spot with a $200 deposit
- Send reference photos
- Your painting is completed within your selected month
- Final balance + shipping is due when you approve the finished piece
I take a limited number of commissions each month so I can give each piece the attention it deserves.

Choosing the Right Subject & Size
Pet Portraits
Clear photos with good natural light and visible shadows work best. Front-facing, side-view, or slightly turned poses all work well. If one photo has great lighting and another shows eye detail, feel free to send both.
People Paintings
I specialize in non–full-face portraits — side views, back views, or candid/action moments. Think: walking, playing, being present in a moment. These are painterly, expressive pieces rather than traditional formal portraits.
Landscapes
Strong focal points and light/shadow are key. I’m always happy to review a photo and let you know if it’s a good fit.
Tip:
Before choosing a size, consider where the painting will live. Larger pieces make a beautiful statement and allow for more expressive brushwork and color.
Style & Artistic Approach
My work is not photo realism. I paint in a colorful, representational style that emphasizes mood, light, and energy.
You’re welcome to request:

- a general color palette
- subtle design preferences
Allowing artistic freedom within these guidelines produces the strongest results.
Timeline & Communication
- You’ll select a month for your commission
- I’ll reach out before starting to confirm:
- canvas size
- final photos
- color preferences
- Near completion, I’ll share a preview
- Once approved, final payment + shipping is due prior to delivery
Oil paintings may require a short additional drying period.
Shipping & Pickup
Paintings are shipped via USPS, UPS, or FedEx Ground, depending on size.
Shipping includes professional packing and insurance.
Local pickup from my studio is available.
International collectors are welcome — please contact me before ordering so I can quote shipping.

Agreement & Rights
By placing a deposit, you agree to commission a one-of-a-kind artwork and to pay the remaining balance upon completion.
I retain reproduction rights to the image for prints, promotions, and publications related to my work. Original artwork is, of course, yours to enjoy and display.
